After many problems with propagation of this Canna, which is slow to multiply, we now have a good stock of plants. One of the darkest foliage cannas the waxy leaves turn deep red/black. Large flowers of medium red on tall 5ft slender stems

This Canna is gorgeous in both bloom and foliage.  The huge leaves are dark purple/black and the large orange red, fading to scarlet red flowers are truly stunning. Excellent as a tall specimen canna or for mass planting growing to 7ft. (However we have been advised by a customer that this may actually be Red King Humbert and that Black Knight is a syn of Canna ambassador. (We have grown ambassador in the past but we were disappointed with its short weak floppy growth.) A very strong clean plant always in high demand.

A stunning Canna with leaves of a colour truly hard to believe. It comes from South Africa growing to 5ft and is easy to look after quickly making a strong clump. Vibrant orange flowers against deep purple striped orange and pink foliage makes a bold statement.

This was sold to us as Black Knight by lifestyle plants but its turned out to be one of the species forms of Edulis with strong red striped foliage. Similar in habit to Musifolia grande and useful as a tall to 8ft foliage specimen but do not expect any flowers in our UK climate.

A Curt Wallace hybrid, regarded as the closest to white available in the canna family. This 3’ tall clumping variety is topped all summer with very large creamy white flowers, flushed with pale yellow toward the centre. Grown from micro propagated tissue, this new Canna is an exciting addition to our Virus free range.

This is a very strong green leaved plant with large multiple flower heads of very bright red. Clumps well producing many new flowering shoots and excellent for continuous flowering and mass bedding. 3ft to 4ft tall.

Another excellent purple foliage Canna. Strong clumping habit to 5ft or more with virus resistant foliage. The small orange flowers are not anything to write home about, but still attractive. A lovely foliage plant that is also proving quite hardy. The picture shows a 6ft tall clump in late August that was left in the ground in our Oxfordshire garden, unprotected over the 2004/5 winter but did not survive the colder winter of 2005/6.

A species Canna with very different looking flowers held in sprays of a soft pink above huge green paddle like foliage. Tall to 6ft plus. We have concentrated on propagating these again for 2006 and hope to have sufficient to meet demand but place your orders early to avoid disappointment

A lovely heritage Canna dating back to 1902, the beautiful purple bronze leaves are a perfect foil for the soft pink flowers that fade to shades of peach and apricot. Medium height of 4ft to 6ft and a good strong plant that clumps up well creating a wonderful display. If you hate the bright colourful flowers of typical Cannas in red and yellows, seen by some as gaudy, then this is the one for you!

Fabulous foliage Canna that even rivals the Bananas. Tall growing to 8ft or more, with huge wavy leaves edged in maroon with maroon stems. Don’t expect to see flowers though unless you have a long growing season like 2005, and even then it was October before flowers appeared.

A new virus free, micropropagated Kent Kelly hybrid that we introduced in 2007. Canna 'Orange Punch' is a compact, fast-multiplying canna, the bright green leaves are topped from spring until frost with intense bright-orange flowers with a yellow throat. From its Canna iridiflora background, the flowers are held in long pendant racemes instead of the typical upright spikes. If you like bright gaudy cannas with excellent self cleaning properties, this unique new Canna should quickly become one of your favourites! Max height about 4ft

A medium height Canna with green foliage and luscious deep pink flowers. Quite a floriferous clumping Canna with the advantage of self-cleaning flower heads.

With bold green/yellow striped leaves this is a striking canna to 7ft with vivid Orange flowers. It makes an excellent exotic centre piece for a yellow themed group.

A large Canna with gorgeous purple black foliage almost as dark as Black Knight and bright red flowers. Quite a floriferous clumping Canna to 6ft with the advantage of self-cleaning flower heads.  Very similar to our Black Knight.

Good companion for the Bengal Tiger. This tall Canna boasting bright yellow flowers on green foliage grows and clumps quickly for a bold effect.

Striking large red and orange bi-coloured flowers on a strong plant with large green leaves. Grows to about 6ft. The flowers needs dead heading though to look its best but it always creates a “wow” response from any visitors who have not seen it before.

A striking Canna to 7ft tall, grown for its variegated foliage and not the small apricot flowers. Burns a little in full sun but an excellent foliage Canna for a shady area.
